The ISR has initiated a major program for the study of crustal deformation by establishing GPS stations across all geological faults in Gujarat.
 

Three permanent GPS stations have been established at Khavda, Radhanpur and Gandhinagar. More permanent and campaign mode GPS stations being established. The data from all the permanent GPS stations in the western India will be housed at ISR.
