Popularization of Science

1) Community Science Centre

Establishment of Regional / District community science centers to popularize science & technology among the people.

2) Seminar / Symposia / Workshop / Training Program

Financial support / organize programs for creating awareness in the emerging areas and thrust areas of science and technology.

3) Maths Science Question Answer Programme

Gujarat Council on Science and Technology (GUJCOST) has started an interactive programme for the students of secondary section to solve their difficulties of maths and science. The main objective of this programme is to enable the student for asking the questions in Maths and Science Subject during the programme through telephone on toll free number. Students can ask their questions by sending it to our office through letter, fax, E-mail also.

Promotion of Research and Development

1) Dr. Vikram Sarabhai Award

With a view to promote and encourage research and developmental activities in the areas of Industries, Energy, Environment, Biotechnology, Information Technology. Dr. Vikram Sarabhai Award is given to the scientists in the above mentioned fields.

2) Centre of Excellence in emerging areas of Science & Technology.

Financial assistance is provided to institutions/universities to set up state of art infrastructural facilities for research in the emerging fields of science and technology.

3) Minor Research Project

Financial assistance is provided to the researchers to carry out research work in thrust area of science and technology.

4) Student Science and Technology Project

Financial assistance is provided to the students to carry out innovative, scientific and technological research oriented project.
